Putting People First: How Our Team Celebrated Food Safety & Quality Month

At Xiamen Yung Yong Co., Ltd., we believe that great canned and frozen products start with great people. Last month, we turned the spotlight inward – hosting our annual “Food Safety & Team Spirit Week” – a company activity combining professional training, friendly competition, and a shared sense of pride.

 

Day 1: Quality Control Challenge

Our lab technicians and production line staff teamed up for a blind sensory test. Participants had to identify different frozen vegetable blends and canned fruit grades by sight, smell, and texture. The winning team – led by three veteran QC inspectors – achieved 98% accuracy. “This wasn’t just about winning,” said Zhenhui Li, QC supervisor. “It reminded us why every batch matters to a family somewhere in the world.”

 

Day 2: From Farm to Can – Traceability Workshop

To reinforce our commitment to transparency, we held a hands‑on workshop where employees traced a single batch of canned sweet corn – from harvest date to final shipping container. New hires on the packaging line learned how blockchain records protect food safety. One participant shared, “Now I truly understand why my signature on the quality checklist is so important.”

 

Day 3: Employee Recognition Awards

We honored four team members for exceptional contributions:

 

· Golden Knife Award – To a cutting line operator with zero safety incidents over three years.

· Cold Chain Guardian – To a warehouse worker who reduced temperature deviation by reorganizing frozen storage zones.

· Customer Hero – To an export coordinator who resolved a shipping delay over a weekend, saving a 20‑ton frozen berry order.

·· Long‑service Award – To two employees celebrating five years with us.

 

Day 4: Charity Cooking Event

We closed the week by preparing 300 hot meals using our own canned beans, tomatoes, and frozen mixed vegetables for a local community kitchen. “Seeing our products bring warmth to people right here – not just overseas – was the best team bonding we could ask for,” said our operations manager.

 

Looking Ahead

Activities like these are not a one‑time event. We have launched a monthly “Quality Voice” meeting where any employee can suggest improvements. As one of our production workers put it: “We don’t just pack food. We pack care.”
